LA Tenorio Vs. JJ Barea very unforgettable moment
Lewis Alfred aka 'LA' Tenorio was born July 9, 1984 in the city of Quezon Philippines. Tenorio is 5'8 in height and weighing 151 lbs. He is the pride of Ateneo de Manila University and is playing for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel as a guard in the Philippine Basketball Association.
Tenorio's most unforgettable moment competing for the FIBA World Cup was when he got the chance to match up with a legit NBA Player. Gilas Pilipinas-Puerto Rico game would go down to his memory bank as among the sweetest moments in his FIBA World Cup experience. Tenorio said "Its the ultimate." he also pointed out "Going to the game, It's not so often that one gets the opportunity to play an NBA veteran who was really good." During the Gilas Pilipinas-Puerto Rico game, Tenorio missed again in the teams next possession and Barea split anew from the line for a 75-70 edge with 13 seconds left.
Andray Blatche - #puso is the hashtag
He may not be a natural filipino in nature yet his unyielding sacrifice and contribution for Gilas Pilipinas is more than enough for him to be loved by Filipinos.
Blatche is 28 years old and had been naturalized to help make the Philippine Basketball Team Gilas more competitive for FIBA World Cup.
His move had been very remarkable when he faced the ring and dribbled twice before pulling up for a jumper over Croatia defender Ante Tomic. His impressive timely three-pointers, aggressive attacks and most unselfish kick-outs to his shooters on the wing definitely shows how he team-up with the Philippine Team, not to mention all other moves he made during the competition with Greece. It is very undeniable that Blatche won the hearts of many in just a short amount of time, even when he was question specially in the aspect of trust thinking that he wouldn't make it for the Philippine Team.

He showed his impressive moves in the recent FIBA Asia Championship. He is a real Filipino Pride and is touted as Asia's best point guard after being names among the tournament's "Mythical Five." Gilas past Kazakhstan in the quarter finals contributing his score of 20 points and against South Korea in the semis 17 points. This amazing guy is very humble and down to earth keep his
focus in the competition. He said he wasn't that disappointed even if he was not approached by anyone from the NBA during the FIBA tournament. Castro is very honest to say that it is his dream to be make it to he NBA as it is every player's dream. Castro was pretty aware that there is a scout from the NBA but he is more focus to win the game. Castro didn't expect to be part of the mythical five, he said "Of course, I was happy but I didn't play to make it to the Mythical Five. To me, individual honors are secondary, like a bonus." He also added, "I coudnt't believe it. All along, I just played my game, what coach Chot wanted me to do. It didn't matter if i scored alot or not, what was important was I did my best for our team and our country."
We cant wait to get more from Castro and we will always look forward to see him more playing for PBA and of course for in NBA in the future. I believe that Castro can show more in the future, with his focus and determination, he can surely get his dream one day.
